As machine knitters become more sophisticated in their use of computer
technology many have become increasingly concerned about the possibility of damaging the
fragile pins of the disk drive port on their Brother/KnitKing knitting machine as they
continually plug and unplug their growing number of accessories.
Repairing or replacing
these pins can be very costly.
Knits by Ann has developed an adapter cable, "Pin Guard", which
will plug into the disk drive port of the Brother/Knitking knitting machines and extend
roughly 4" to a set of pins. Any device which ordinarily plugs into the disk drive
port can now be plugged and unplugged from this external set of pins rather than risk
damage to the fragile pins on the KM motherboard. It can also be used to protect the pins
on any accessory you plug into the KM. A sacrificial part if you will. "Pin
Guard" retails for $13.95 US. A $1.00 shipping and handling fee will be added
to each order.
